Carbon HRC manufacturing process
Manufacture of high performance composite parts
Carbon HRC® technology is a process for the manufacture of high performance composite parts using pre-impregnated materials.
Parts are manufactured by press compression in metal tools with a controlled temperature.
The Carbon HRC® process uses uni directional carbon fibres or woven fibres pre-impregnated with a heat hardening or thermoplastic resin. The direction of these fibres based on the stresses to be absorbed by the part will obtain an optimal response in case of substantial mechanical stresses.
Many part shapes are feasible: complex 3D shapes, solid parts or variable thickness parts, etc. Carbon HRC® technology can also be used to integrate various metal inserts during the moulding phase, with enough precision to avoid the need for repeat machining in some cases.
